YPS NATIONAL

Youth Pastor Summit is a two-day conference that brings together student pastors, educators, and volunteers into one room to foster collaboration, community, and soul-care. It is a direct response to the growing need for people to pour into this generation.

As Student Leadership University trains up the next generation, we increasingly recognize the exponential impact that the leaders have on these students. YPS gathers thousands of leaders from across their regions of the country from 30+ denominations and movements. Each YPS includes mainstage sessions and leadership labs that all address 4 foundational and ever-present questions:

What can you expect at the first ever YPS National?

A community (it’s really a family reunion) that is the largest annual gathering of student ministry leaders

A place of learning that is the most robust intersection of next generation thought leaders drawing from over 500 years of student ministry experience

Who should attend YPS?

The Youth Pastor Summit is geared towards all Youth Pastors and Key Youth Leaders (staff or volunteers) and Christian school educators. All attendees must be 18 years or older. 

How can I qualify for exclusive YPS benefits and make my YPS experience better?

Launching in 2025, membership has its privileges at YPS! YPS attendees have the opportunity to become a YPS Pioneer or YPS Champion and earn special perks for their YPS experience. The SLU team will email attendees directly once they qualify.

 

  • YPS Pioneer: Are those that attend YPS in the spring and YPS National OR attend any YPS and refer 3 new churches. Have your friends enter your name in the referral field when registering. We’ll also reach out to you with a form so that you can provide us the information of who you’ve referred.

How can I register for YPS?

Scroll up to the top of the page and click the “Register Now” button once registration opens on January 9, 2025.

There are two options for registration:

Individual Registration: Individual registration is for single attendees, who will need to sign up through his or her own registration account as the system will not allow duplicate email addresses.

Group Registration Option: This will allow you to register members of your team and/or family under one account and pay at one time. All members must have a unique email address. You will need to know each team member’s email address and date of birth (must be 18 at the time of registration) to register them. If a member of your group already has an SLU account with their email address but is currently not a member of your group account online, you will need email us at [email protected] so we can add them.

Can I register my whole group under one account?

This event does allow you to register as a group.   Accounts should be set up under your ministry’s primary contact and from there you can add your entire team.

Can my spouse attend?

Of course! We love when couples do ministry together. Make sure you register them so they are guaranteed a spot. Each attendee of YPS must be registered for the event and each attendee must register with their unique email address.

What is the update regarding Theme Park Tickets for YPS National?

Our team is working with Universal Studios regarding the number of passes for this year. While we love that Universal has been able to GIFT this pass in the past, we know the real benefit of Youth Pastor Summit is the content and resources we provide. Our team is dedicated to providing an exceptional YPS again this year to come alongside you and your ministry team!

I have a small child, can they attend with me?

We think families are great, and time together is important.  Yet, this event is only for those who are 18 and older and who have graduated high school. We want everyone to have the best experience possible at this event, so please make arrangements to leave your children at home or arrange childcare for outside of the conference.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

If you are registered as a group, we will do a one-time transfer of any of your participants, without penalty. Transfers are not available on individual registrations. This one-time transfer must occur a minimum of ten business days before the event. To make a transfer on your account, email us at [email protected] from your group leader’s email indicating the individual(s) you are canceling and the name, email, and DOB of the new registration(s). We will only make a transfer(s) on each group registration one time, and once you have made a transfer, your group is then finalized.

Are any meals provided at YPS National?

Through the generosity of our event sponsors, a meal is provided on Monday and Tuesday.

Can my organization be an Exhibitor at YPS?

Yes! We have several opportunities for you to partner with us.   Click here to learn more and click here to apply.  All applications must be received by March 7, 2025 for the spring events and October 3, 2025 for the National Conference.  Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
