SLU 101 Reimagined Chat Guidelines

The chat feature in the SLU 101 Reimagined experience is provided for the purpose of positive and uplifting interaction among participants, speakers and SLU staff. The chat is limited to registered SLU 101 Reimagined attendees but is also global to the community, meaning that all SLU 101 Reimagined participants can view all content posted within the chat. Any misuse of the chat in a manner that is found offensive, disrespectful or distracting will result in removal of chat privileges.
Expectations of Chat Participants
Respect Others – All participants within the chat are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times.
- Harassment, defamation, or slandering of individuals or groups is not permitted and will result in immediate removal from the chat and possibly the SLU 101 Reimagined program.
- Refrain from using or referring to any subject that could be found offensive to another member of the chat.
- During a session, please limit the conversation to content that is specific to the lesson being presented.
- Distracting and irrelevant conversations are not permitted at any time.
- Appropriate, respectful and uplifting language should be used at all times.
- Respect for authority figures, local and national officials and all other individuals is expected at all times.
Be Helpful and Supportive - We encourage participants to connect and support one another as we go through this journey together.
- Questions posted in the chat should be relevant and posed in a respectful manner.
- Refrain from sharing personal information about yourself or others (i.e. birthdays, cell phone numbers, social media handles, etc.)
- Attendees must use the name they were registered with to interact in the chat. Impersonating others is prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the chat and possibly the SLU 101 Reimagined program.
- Links, websites, etc. may not be posted by an attendee.
